The 1930s, an age of jazz, decadence and gin. Fast forward to 2012 and on board the SS.Atlantica it was once again all about jazz, decadence and gin.
On Saturday night I boarded the SS.Atlantica for a Champagne-sodden foray into the glamour of yesteryear’s most luxurious form of travel, with a magnificent Ocean Liner party. Boarding at The Savoy Pier we were then went off down the Thames, taking in the sights of London.

Men all looked dashing in top hat and tails, while the women, dressed in their furs and evening gowns looked like figures straight out of an Agatha Christie novel. There was live music to keep us entertained, an all-girl ensemble singing modern songs with a 30s sound. And then there was the roulette table...
Away on a sea of Gin Fizz, just one of Bourne & Hollingsworth’s signature cocktails, I danced the night away, even managing to find some chaps who could Charleston!
