Can I get that pizza to go…back to the 1920s please?

Monday night was another occasion for me to don my vintage dress and divulge in my biggest passion. Going to live music gigs is one of my absolute favourite things, but going to music gigs back in time is even better!

The Pheasantry Pizza Express on The Kings Road holds a range of live music events throughout the year. However on Monday Alex Mendham and his orchestra were playing for our pleasure, transporting us, and our pizzas back to the 1920s…

From the original instruments to the pomade in the hair of the band members, when listening, and watching Alex Mendham and his orchestra perform you wouldn’t be a fool for thinking that it might actually be 1920s London.

As my friend and I enjoyed our pizzas and a bottle…two bottles of wine, we listened to some of the bands classic tracks such as Little Girl, which has very much become the soundtrack for the band, Happy Feet and I’ll Never Have to Dream Again. I only wish there was more space so we could trip the light fantastic!

I had been dying to see the band, after only listening to them on YouTube and I can safely say I was not disappointed. Pizza, wine, great music, performed by some really rather dashing chaps…what more could you ask of a Monday night!?
