With stars such as Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Darcey Bussell and a handful of those of Made in Chelsea fame, there was no doubt in my mind that an evening at the London Cabaret Club would be an evening well spent. And quite frankly an evening of fine dining (the British menu was created by Executive Chef and Pont St restaurant's Sophie Michell), Champagne and cabaret is just how I'd like to spend my Friday.

On arrival we were seated at our stage level table and handed a glass of fizz. The night was off to a great start.

The show order was split into three acts; James Bond, Britannia, and The Best of British Pop. All of the acts would include song, dance, and the promise of surprise acts with our three course dinner interspersed.

The highlight act wise of the evening was by far the surprise guests. Alesia and Massimo's Balancing and Silk Act had the whole audience "ooo"ing in all the right places. Holding his partner aloft with just one hand, there were times when I was terrified to clap. Would he lose his concentration and drop her? Luckily that was not the case. A truly spectacular act.

A miniature dog show in act two also had me squealing with delight. The rest of the troupe were a singing, dancing, and instrument playing wonder. An incredibly high standard.

The three course meal, in my opinion, was a mixed bag. The starter, although nice, was quite forgettable. For the main, my guest and I opted for the lamb and the cod. I think I speak for both my guest and I when I say we would have been happy if there had been seconds. To finish, a pudding tier which included Pimms trifles, macaroons, jellies, cupcakes, and lots of other treats. I struggled to try them all but the sea salt caramel and milk chocolate shots were perfectly indulgent.

With the pop up running until May 30th, there is little point you sitting alone in your room, go to the cabaret!
