WHAT: Listing Suffragette Walk Join this special Suffragette walk hosted by Go Midtown to honour the sacrifices of the brave women of the suffrage movement and celebrate their contribution towards a radical transformation in women's rights
See: billed as the perfect antidote to the working week, spend a lunchtime exploring the Bloomsbury and Holborn areas and learning about their connection with the WSPU and the Women's Freedom League. See the places that gave birth to the movement for women's rights, granting them the social and political freedom we all enjoy today.
Eat and Drink: bring along your lunch and experience a truly rejuvenating and rewarding lunch break
Don't miss: the beautiful St George's Church, Bloomsbury Way that hosted the infamous Emily Davidson's funeral after she made the ultimate sacrifice for the suffrage movement.
WHERE: the walk will start by the orange information kiosk outside Holborn Station and will last 45 minutes

WHAT: Mind, Body, Soul exhibition The London exhibition devoted to physical and mental wellness is back
See: over 120 exhibitors equipped to excite and rejuvenate all five senses. The exhibition offers complementary health, spiritual awareness and personal development to help visitors develop a healthy mind, body and soul

WHAT: The Real Food Festival Set on London's Southbank, the Real Food Festival celebrates high quality, sustainable and ethically produced food
See: London's Southbank come alive will smells and sounds. Over 150 different producers have been hand selected to appear at the event. The event will even subsidise the costs to smaller businesses that struggle to pay to go to festivals if their food is too good to miss
Eat and Drink: everything from artisan bread and cheeses to fresh vegetables and cupcakes

WHAT: Wigtown Book Festival Wigtown was named Scotland's National Book Town in 1997 and to this day continues to live up to that name. The next event in their calendar is the annual Wigtown Book Festival
See: more than 180 events for adults and children alike, including writers Natalie Haynes, Douglas Hurd and James Kelman amongst many more. This particular festival celebrates the power of the unspoilt heavens and the countryside below
Eat and drink: there are a number of food and drink establishments around Wigtown, the majority of which are listed on the Book Festival website, so you can plan in advance

WHAT: The World's Biggest Coffee Morning Macmillan Cancer Support are asking you to host your own coffee morning's this Friday in aid of their continuing work supporting those suffering with cancer and their families
See: you can sign up to host your own morning on the website and order your free kit that is tailored to you. Or alternatively you can search on the website for a morning near you

WHAT: Bath Festival of Children's Literature Set in the picturesque town of Bath this festival is sure to get your children truly excited about literature

Don't Miss: the Where's Wally Birthday Parade on Friday 28th as Bath is transformed into a red and white town in honour of the infamous Wally

WHAT: Cornwall Food and Drink Festival Establishing itself as a firm favourite in the food festival calendar, the Cornwall Food and Drink Festival aims to bring together what people really love about Cornish food
See: over 60 exhibitors, live demonstrations from top chefs and whole host of Cornish cuisine
Eat and Drink: the Croust Bar is offering some of the finest Cornish food available with a view of the Cornwall Food and Drink Stage where there will be masterclasses in just about everything. But if you would rather take your food home the Outdoor Market and Food and Drink Pavilion will be filled with delicious Cornish produce
Don't Miss: if you have children the Funky Food Zone will provide hands on entertainment and education about nutrition, food and the link between food and farming.

WHAT: Ilkley Literature Festival Dubbed as the North's liveliest and most prestigious Literature festival
See: tickets are still available for an impressive array of well know writers and personalities include former Poet Laureate Andrew Motion, TV's Hilary Devey and celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. The Festival will feature authors events, readings, discussions, performances, workshops , literary walks and children's literature just to name a few.
Eat and Drink: Ilkley has a number of restaurants, bistros and tea rooms so plan ahead and see what's on offer
Don't miss: a chance to visit the Stanza Stone's trail. As part of the Cultural Olympiad, Simon Armitage teamed up with the festival to create a set of stones carved with his own words about the beauty of the landscape and those of young poets. The Stones are scattered from Marsden to Ilkley and the festival has a number of trails for the vast majority of walking abilities on their website, so you can enjoy these beautiful words in their beautiful setting

WHAT: British Musical Fireworks Championships 2012 Promises to bring the very best of British fireworks to Southport.
See: the country's finest pyrotechnics synchronised to music battle it out for the chance to will the coveted title of UK champions

WHAT: Warwick Words Festival of Literature and the Spoken Word With 3,500 tickets sold last year this literature festival draws vast crowds of readers and writers alike to the beautiful town of Warwick
See: there are countless events including book stall swaps, a conversation with writer Kate Mosse and Alan Titchmarsh, a workshop on how to care for books old and new as well as an event dedicated to the oddities of Britain.
Eat and Drink: once again Warwick has a plethora of excellent restaurants to suit any taste
Don't miss: the story collector event on the 29th of September, where the stories from the festival's thousands of visitors are collected and shared

WHAT: The Vienna Boy's Choir The self proclaimed 'original boy band' will be touring across UK venues in the coming months
See: one of the world's most famous choirs taking on everything from traditional Viennese music to modern pop songs. The 100 boys, aged between nine and fourteen, that belong to the choir today are split into four touring choirs, named after the choir's famous alumni Haydn, Mozart, Schubert and Bruckner. The choir is directed by Artistic Director Gerald Wirth, a former member of the choir that was given the post in 2001
Don't miss: this is the first time the choir has toured in ten years so it will be a unique and unforgettable experience
