Brownsea Island, Dorset
The Two Gentlemen of Verona, 27 & 29 July, 1, 3, 5, 8, 10 & 12 August, 7.30pm – 10.30pm
Bring a picnic and enjoy the tranquil surroundings of Brownsea Island as you watch this fantastic production of Shakespeare's early play 'Two Gentlemen of Verona'. Good friends Valentine and Proteus find themselves at odds over the beautiful Silva, and dramatic tension ensues. Surrounded by woodland and wildlife, away from the bustling mainland, Brownsea is the perfect location for a relaxing evening of theatre.

Greenway, Devon
Murder on the Terrace, 4 August, 6.30pm – 9pm
Visit Greenway, former home of world-famous crime author Agatha Christie, for Heartbreak Theatre's production of an original murder-mystery. This will be an interactive play: part romp, part farce and a whole lot of fun. Join Inspector Back as he investigates the murder of Charles Standen-Delliver. The twists and turns of this new 'whodunit' both puzzle and entertain, with plenty of humour thrown in. With its rambling rooms and scenic views over the River Dart it's no surprise that Greenway featured (under disguise) in several of Christie's novels. Maybe a visit will even inspire you to write your own novel?

The former home of the great Victorian actress Ellen Terry hosts outdoor performances as part of their Shakespeare season, in the year that marks the 400th anniversary of the famous playwright's death. Performances are held in the enchanting gardens that surround the picturesque cottage, where you can enjoy your picnic before the show.
The Merry Wives of Windsor: Come along for the most farcical of all Shakespeare comedies performed against the backdrop of Ellen Terry's home. Performed on the date of her death in 1928 as a tribute to her talent and legacy.

'Richard III', Weds 6 July, 6pm – 9pm
Join The Handlebards for an outdoor production of Shakespeare's 'Richard III' at one of Lancashire's finest Tudor buildings, where a young Shakespeare is reputed to have once performed. Described by Sir Ian McKellen as "uproariously funny", the four-strong all-male HandleBards present Shakespeare's plays as you've never seen them before. Since 2013, the HandleBards have pedaled over 5000 miles across the world, carrying all their set, props and costumes on just four bicycles. For this performance they will have live accompaniment from a local musician.
