HOME REMEDY: Coriander
Like many herbs we cook with, coriander has plenty of health benefits: it is antibacterial, anti-fungal and, according to herb expert Jekka McVicar, it is also an appetite stimulant. Maybe that's why I always eat too much curry.
Ru Herd, chef and owner of Scotland's Thai cookery school, Krua Thai, also raves about coriander for adding a unique flavour to Thai food. There are also other classic Thai herbs, such as lemon grass, which helps with water retention, and sweet basil, which includes an enzyme to aid digestion.
Check out The Fresh Herb Company's website for tasty ways to spice up your food and give yourself an all-important health boost too.
