Leave the rain behind and head for a resort holiday in the sun

In fact, I am writing this article from my lounger by the amazing infinity pool at the Maritim Jolie Ville hotel in Luxor, Egypt. The five-star Aldemar Olympian Village is on the west coast of the Peloponnese, Greece, 40km from the ancient site of Olympia. The large, well-equipped resort is a great fly-and-flop destination, with three kilometres of golden beach, sports galore and an award-winning spa.
