Welsh Beach Bar Pub named Third Best in the World
A welsh pub has been named the third best beach bar in the world, beating competition from establishments in Australia and the Caribbean. The Ty Coch Inn looks out onto Porthdinllaen Beach along the North Wales coastline. In order to reach the pub, visitors must either walk nearly a mile along the beach or sail. The pub was only beaten in the worldwide poll by bars in Negril, Jamaica and Berlin, Germany. The list was put together by holiday company Cheapflights and took into account 'vibe, location and individuality.'

Knitting Grannies Hit the Web
Grannies Inc. is a company that sells made-to-order knits created by a group of grandmothers from across the UK. Whilst the company itself was founded nearly four years ago in 2009, it has recently hit the web with a newly launched online shop. The company, which is made up of three hundred grandmothers, is able to produce a range of styles and products. Whilst most opt for a traditional jumper, other customers have requested more unique choices, including dog outfits. One grandmother in particular, called Grace, is known for her skull and cross bones pattern.

Dirt and Water Repelling Spray Goes On Sale
A spray that actively repels liquids has gone on sale in America this week. NeverWet, a super hydrophobic spray, is the first product of its kind to go on sale and was created by a company who were tasked with preventing oil pipes from rusting in the sea. The spray deflects moisture so that the surface is left with no trace of the liquid at all. Testing has also shown that the spray can be used to completely waterproof gadgets. It can be used on a wide variety of surfaces including fabric, wood, leather and metal.

Documents Reveal Female Graduate was Involved In Solving Ancient Riddle
A language discovered on Bronze Age tablets unearthed in 1990 was deciphered by a 21 year old graduate after having baffled experts for over fifty years, newly released documents reveal. Linear B is made up of a series of tiny pictograms and for a period of 52 years, it proved impossible for experts to understand. However, in 1952, Arthur Evans and Michael Ventris were solely credited with having cracked the code of this Bronze Age language. Recently released documents show, however, that classics graduate and professor, Alice Kober was a key figure in the discovery process. Scholars now believe that without her work, Linear B was not have been deciphered and may still have remained a mystery.
