The Lady has acquired her own carriage aboard the British Pullman for a party of up to 24 readers, subscribers, Lady Ambassadors and their guests.
Leaving Victoria Station at 9am, you will travel in the greatest style and comfort all the way to Chichester, ready for your wonderful day at the Goodwood Revival 2012 – a classic car extravaganza. On your outward journey you will receive a welcome brunch and Bellini on board. You will then be transferred to Goodwood, where you can revel in the glamour of motor racing in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. This is the world's only sporting event set entirely to a period theme, so get into the spirit by dressing up in the styles of the era. You will be in the heart of the action, seated in the grandstand area among other readers of The Lady. Then, rejoin the British Pullman for your return journey to London, during which you will be served with a sumptuous three-course dinner with champagne and half a bottle of wine per person.

Cookery writer and presenter, Rosemary Moon, will be sharing her passion for good home-cooked meals using local, seasonal produce, across a range of food courses and events at West Dean College this summer. She'll be joined by other passionate cooks and experts in her mission to get people cooking – and to have some fun!
At the West Dean Fish-knife And Cooking Skills course, you will learn how to prepare both a flat and a round fish, so you'll be ready to make the most of the catch of the day from your boat or from the fishmonger. You will be shown all the basic methods of cooking fish and how to dress a crab. Chef Giles Thompson brings the world of restaurant cooking to our day, in contrast to Rosemary Moon's creative home-cook style. This one-day course runs on 19 July and the prediscount course fee is £137.
