100 Residents in the London commuter town of Berkhamsted have rallied together and petitioned to try to stop Lidl moving into the area. The Most Remote Pub in Britain
The Old Forge in Knoydart, Lochaber in the north-west Scotland is officially the most remote pub in Britain. So much so that it has been listed by the Guinness Book of Records and can only be accessed by an 18 mile hike through a mountain range or by helicopter ride. The pub uses only fresh local produce and is famed for its seafood, all sourced within a 15 mile radius of the pub. There are no roads in or out of the peninsula and the town of Knoydart is home to just 111 residents. Yet, the area is still lively and has a healthy tourist trade through a steady stream of climbers and walkers.

Prince's Split of Shakespeare's Authenticity
Prince Philip and Prince Charles have come to blows over the alleged authorship of much of Shakespeare's work. Whilst Prince Charles, President of the Royal Shakespeare Company, has adopted the orthodox position, his father believes that not all the work should be correctly attributed to the bard himself. Prince Philip asserts that it is more likely that Sir Henry Neville the imprisoned diplomat, was the true playwright or alternatively as other theories suggests Francis Bacon or Christopher Marlowe.

The Heavyweight Cauliflower
Peter Glazebrook has smashed the world record for the heaviest Cauliflower by over 3kg, with the vegetable weighing in at a colossal 27.5kg. The Green Fingered enthusiast has four other world records under his belt including the longest beetroot and parsnip and the heaviest onion and potato. For his latest considerable achievement he said, "The weighing was conducted at my home because there were no vegetable shows at this time of the year." The Cauliflower planted in 2013 was kept in Mr. Glazebrook's Greenhouse and watered frequently with calcium nitrate.
