Step out with Catherine

There aren’t many of us who wouldn’t love spending some time in the Duchess of Cambridge’s shoes. But while we can’t pop you into a pad at Kensington Palace, we can at least find you fabulous footwear that will take you into summer in royal style.

By Katy Pearson

The nude

The Duchess almost singlehandedly took the nude court shoe from drab to fab. She favours LK Bennett’s Sledge Court Shoe in light taupe (£185), but thanks to the Catherine effect, nude is the hue on high streets everywhere. Carole Middleton and Princess Beatrice are also big fans.

The Duchess isn’t averse to something a little less conservative if the occasion demands. Pink with bow at the ankle for the ARK Gala Dinner, red pointed courts in Canada, silver platforms at the BAFTAs… make her your muse when it comes to party shoes
