Escape to the country

The Duchess of Cambridge’s camp fire chic has got us all clambering for a slice of the countryside, says Katy Pearson

By Katy Pearson

Forget the fuddy-duddy country set… today’s tweed is sophisticated, stylish and more than a touch sharp.

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, cemented the appeal of free-range-esque fashion when she was pictured in the woods in Kent last month, meeting innercity children.

Timeless and trend-proof, it’s the stuff townies’ dreams are made of.

Invest in a good staple now, and it will take you through the rest of our inclement summertime and into autumn.
